About the position

Women’s Health Associates is an established 11 Physician group seeking a full-time associate OB/GYN Physician to join their Columbia, MO team. This position is open to Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYNs, including 2025 OB/GYN Residents. The practice is located in a vibrant community known for its high quality of life, featuring a lively downtown with unique shops, delicious restaurants, and cultural attractions. Columbia is home to the University of Missouri, which contributes to a diverse and educated population. The city is recognized for its excellent public schools, beautiful parks, and a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, making it an attractive place to live and work. The associate will work full-time, typically 6-7 half days per week, with a set 24-hour call day in the same building for both office and hospital duties. There is a post-call off day, and weekend call is shared equally among 2-3 physicians, with a rotation of 1:5. The office operates until 3:00 PM on Fridays, with no patients scheduled after noon. The practice offers a balanced OB/GYN ratio and includes various office procedures such as NSTs, ultrasounds (Sonohysterograms), hysteroscopies, colposcopies, and LEEP. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration among a large physician team, providing both autonomy and support for associates. The affiliated hospital, Boone Hospital Center, is equipped with surgical robotics (2 DaVinci systems) and has a Level II NICU, along with on-site mammography and maternal-fetal medicine consultations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients.
  • Perform office procedures including NSTs, ultrasounds, hysteroscopies, colposcopies, and LEEP.
  • Participate in a shared call schedule, including weekend calls.
  • Collaborate with a team of physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Mentor and support junior staff and residents as needed.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
  • Completion of an OB/GYN residency program.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with surgical robotics (DaVinci systems).
  • Interest in community involvement and outreach.
