About the position
Liv by Advantia Health is seeking an innovative OB/GYN Physician to join their team in Washington, D.C. This role focuses on providing excellent patient care while leveraging technology for optimal efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in practice development or start-ups and will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The position offers the potential for growth into a management role as the practice scales.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal and postnatal care.
- Provide high-quality routine women's health care, including diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and obstetrical conditions.
- Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor their conditions, including the use of telemedicine.
- Demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceuticals, side effects, and potential problems with medicine combinations.
- Recognize signs of physical and emotional abuse in patients.
- Render culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
- Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff on proper procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid license to practice or ability to be licensed in the District of Columbia.
- 2+ years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or private practice preferred.
- Proficient in patient charting in electronic medical records and comfortable with technology.
