About the position

The Physician for Women's Health (PWH) is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join their practice in Trumbull, CT. This role involves providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, ensuring that treatment is appropriate for their age and specific needs. The physician will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including MDs, Certified Nurse Midwives, and an APRN, and will be responsible for diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and maintaining continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data including health history and results of physical examinations.
• Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
• Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in the provision of continuity of care.
• Gain competence in Electronic Medical Record System and submit billing at the time of office visits.

Requirements

• Experience in OB/GYN or Women's Health
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible
• Connecticut License
• Federal and State controlled substance licenses
• BLS certification
• Effective communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills
