About the position

The OB Hospitalist position at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group involves providing comprehensive care in a busy labor and delivery environment. The role includes managing labor and delivery, triage, postpartum care, and emergency surgeries, with a focus on high-quality patient care in a supportive team setting. Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery, including triage and postpartum care.
• Handle emergency surgeries as needed, including ectopic pregnancies.
• Provide support during ED calls and collaborate with experienced CNMs.
• Participate in clinic shifts as an option, working alongside a dedicated team.
• Ensure high-quality care in a high-volume setting, delivering approximately 9,000 babies per year.

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in labor and delivery; 5 years preferred.
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
• Ability to receive privileges for basic laparoscopy, including management of ectopic pregnancies (must have completed 10 cases within the last 2 years).
• California Medical License is preferred.
