About the position
The Obesity Medicine Health Psychologist position at Dartmouth-Hitchcock involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide innovative care for patients struggling with obesity. This role includes a mix of telemedicine and in-person work, offering a flexible schedule and opportunities for teaching and research collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Developing and providing expert services for patients struggling with obesity and the psychosocial sequela of obesity
- Leading groups offered to patients across the region by the Center for Digestive Health Behavioral Medicine Team
- Conducting pre and post bariatric surgery psychological evaluations
- Participating in multidisciplinary team-based care
- Collaborating with other psychologists and psychology trainees in the Center for Digestive Health's Behavioral Medicine Program
Requirements
- Licensed psychologist in the state of New Hampshire
- Experience in obesity medicine or related fields
- Strong collaborative skills to work with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to conduct psychological evaluations and provide therapy
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with telemedicine
- Familiarity with bariatric surgery processes
- Teaching experience in a clinical setting
