Requirements

• Knowledge of ultrasound principles and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing Level 2 Fetal Anatomy ultrasounds.
• Ability to assist with ultrasound-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures as required for departmental workflow.
• Cover the department as necessary through Supervisor or Medical Director direction.
• Complete ultrasound exams in a timely manner while ensuring high quality.
• Prepare patients for exams, ensuring comfort and modesty.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures diligently.
• Uphold ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure to ultrasound energy.
• Work flexible hours, including on-call as required by department needs.
• Ensure exams requested match patient conditions and history, seeking clarification when necessary.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and initiate service calls to vendors as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle patient complaints professionally.
• Document procedures and exams accurately and thoroughly.
