About the position

As a DevOps & Observability (APM) Assigned Expert at Splunk, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer adoption and optimization of the Splunk platform. This position involves providing strategic technical mentorship, ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their investment in Splunk. You will collaborate with internal teams to develop processes that enhance service delivery and tackle complex customer challenges, all while fostering a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic execution of adoption and optimization activities in long-term engagements, including regular meetings and documentation.
  • Provide high-quality technical mentorship on Enterprise level architecture and optimization in environments involving Splunk Core/Cloud, ITOps, DevOps, and APM.
  • Build, drive, and report on customer success plans.
  • Act as a customer advocate for key initiatives and needs within the Splunk ecosystem.
  • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for customer needs related to adoption, optimization, and technical escalations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of current experience in technical consulting or Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
  • Strong development proficiency in at least 3 programming languages such as Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, Python, Node.JS, Objective-C, Java-Dalvik.
  • Current experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Solid experience with microservices in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following tools: Nagios, Monit, ELK, Confluence, JIRA, Consul.io, Jenkins, Lambda.
  • Strong knowledge of open systems application and infrastructure.
  • Clear understanding of network and system management solutions.
  • Experience with both Unix and Windows operating systems, comfortable with command line interface.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or substantial relevant on-the-job experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Splunk administration or Splunk Platform experience.
