About the position

As an Observability Engineer at PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you will be responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining the observability platform and integrated monitoring and logging solutions. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability and performance of IT infrastructure and applications, enhancing system visibility, enabling proactive issue detection, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The position is remote and requires collaboration with various teams including IT Infrastructure, SRE, Dev/Engineering, and Incident Management.

Responsibilities

• Configure, operate, and maintain the observability platform and integrated monitoring solutions.
• Enhance system visibility to enable proactive issue detection.
• Support continuous improvement efforts for IT infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, SRE, Dev/Engineering, and Incident Management teams to meet project objectives.
• Analyze technological needs of customers and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in observability engineering.
• Experience with systems such as Splunk, Elastic, and Datadog.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
