About the position

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing, and monitoring diseases and provides general care to women. This role involves a variety of essential duties including providing care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postpartum periods, diagnosing and treating diseases, and prescribing medications in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy. The OB/GYN will also perform routine examinations, collaborate with other medical personnel, and educate patients on treatment plans and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postpartum periods.
• Diagnoses, treats, and monitors diseases, disorders, and conditions.
• Prescribes appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy.
• Performs pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams.
• Introduces prenatal patients to our Pediatric Department for well-baby care.
• Collaborates and consults with other medical and non-medical personnel.
• Effectively monitors patients' progress throughout treatment plan and care and provides continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
• Educates patients on the importance of treatment plans and communicates side effects and risks of medications prescribed.
• Educates patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.
• Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.
• Conducts routine check-up appointments and maintains follow-ups throughout patient care.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication with patients.
• Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.
• Conducts mood and emotional well-being assessments during postpartum appointments.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience as an OB/GYN is preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
