About the position

This is an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join a well-established hospital-owned clinic located just seven miles from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Medical Center is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services and is looking for a dedicated physician to enhance its team. The clinic is equipped with ancillary services, including Mammography, Bone Density, and Ultrasounds, ensuring comprehensive care for patients. The Renaissance Women's Center at Midwest Regional is notable for being the first free-standing birthing center in Oklahoma, featuring 12 birthing suites, 2 operating rooms, and a level II neonatal intensive care unit, which underscores the center's commitment to maternal and neonatal health. The Medical Center is part of a vibrant community that offers a great quality of life, with affordable housing, excellent schools, and a variety of community events and recreational activities. The facility itself is a 255-bed acute-care hospital with approximately 1,500 associates and 300 physicians on staff. A significant expansion project is underway, which will add two floors and 102 beds to the medical center, further enhancing its capacity to serve the community. The hospital also boasts a 24-hour emergency department, a cardiac catheterization lab, same-day surgery and ambulatory care, a wound care clinic, a stand-alone birthing center, a sleep lab, and outpatient physical therapy services. Notably, Midwest Regional was the first in the metro area to acquire a daVinci Surgical System, which is utilized for various surgical procedures, including urologic, gynecologic, and cardiac surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients.
  • Perform surgeries and procedures as necessary.
  • Manage prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in community outreach and education regarding women's health issues.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Oklahoma.
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced surgical techniques, including robotic surgery.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Interest in teaching or mentoring medical students or residents.
