About the position

Orkin is seeking talented Seasonal Customer Service Professionals for our remote Customer Contact Center. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy helping people and possess extraordinary customer service and sales experience. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure consistent support for our customers. As a key player in our team, you will help uphold our reputation as the best in pest control, backed by over 120 years of service excellence. In this fully remote position, you will be part of a National Customer Contact Center that handles inbound sales, web sales, lost lead sales, customer service, and termite billing/claims. The seasonal role is crucial in supporting our field offices and customers during peak seasons, which begin in February. You will work from your home office, requiring a minimum of 50 mbps download and 20 mbps upload high-speed internet connection. We will provide the necessary computer and equipment to ensure your success in this role. Your responsibilities will include managing customer relationships to deliver best-in-class service, retaining business by offering remedies to prevent account cancellations, and recommending additional services to enhance the protection value for residences. You will also utilize gamification methods to measure performance and engage with customers effectively. This position offers a variety of schedules, a comprehensive three-week training program, and ongoing professional development opportunities. With competitive pay starting at $16.73 per hour plus potential commissions, this role can lead to regular full-time employment based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 - 2 years of customer service experience within or outside a call center
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screen
  • Appropriate workspace in your home, private/semiprivate home-office space free of distractions and background noise
  • A workspace with adequate furnishings (e.g., a desk and chair) and lighting
  • Minimum of 50 mbps download/20 mbps upload high-speed internet connection, with the ability to hard wire directly to a modem
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills in various software and web-based applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume role
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
