About the position

The Occupational Health Trainer at Dot Foods, Inc. is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring occupational health programs aimed at injury prevention and employee wellness. This role supports the reduction of related costs through proactive health initiatives and requires bilingual proficiency in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts injury management consultations on current employees.
  • Performs physical ability testing on post job-offer applicants.
  • Provides injury prevention activities such as functional movement testing, safe lifting observations, prevention exercise, and employee education through 1:1 interaction and driver safety meetings.
  • Develops educational materials to support employee health and safety.
  • Supports wellness and safety initiatives at the facility.
  • Responds to after hour calls for assistance with employee injuries.
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in athletic training, exercise science, or kinesiology.
  • Bilingual in both English and French.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and make independent decisions.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.

  • Prior leadership experience.
