About the position

The Occupational Therapist at Penn State Health is responsible for assessing, planning, and conducting individualized occupational therapy programs aimed at helping patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. This role is essential in providing specialized care to a diverse patient population within a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Conduct occupational therapy sessions to help patients improve daily living skills.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapy goals and techniques.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • State Occupational Therapist License required.
  • BLS Certification must be obtained within 3 months of the start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • One year of prior experience preferred or experience via educational program.
