About the position

The Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) position at Amergis involves providing occupational therapy services to students in a school setting under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The role includes treatment implementation, standardized assessment data collection, and documentation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement treatment plans and document progress and outcomes.
  • Conduct standardized assessments as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding occupational therapy services.

Requirements

  • Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice-to-haves
