About the position

The Occupational Therapist position involves independently evaluating and determining treatment strategies to address dysfunction in various skills and abilities. The role focuses on delivering and delegating services that promote rehabilitation and maximize function in daily living activities, leisure, and work. The therapist will address psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components to enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and determine treatment strategies for patients.
• Deliver and delegate services to promote rehabilitation.
• Address dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components.
• Promote safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
• Support patients in education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Nice-to-haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
