About the position
The Occupational Therapist (OT) position at HSHS involves evaluating patients in an inpatient/acute care setting and developing, implementing, and executing treatment plans. The role includes delegating therapy services, educating patients and families, and engaging in interdisciplinary team development. This is a PRN position at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, focusing on patient care and professional advancement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate all assigned patients and develop treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care.
- Implement and execute treatment plans for patients.
- Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services.
- Educate patients, families, students, and co-workers on therapy practices and professional advancement.
- Engage in the development of therapy program services and interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform other professional duties associated with patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program meeting licensure requirements in the state of practice is required.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice is required.
- Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment is required.
