About the position

The Occupational Therapist (OT) position in Inpatient/Acute Care at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital involves evaluating patients and developing treatment plans as per the outlined care plan. The role includes directing therapy services, educating patients and families, and engaging in interdisciplinary team development. This is a PRN position, allowing for flexible scheduling based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care.
• Implement and execute treatment plans for patients.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services.
• Educate patients, families, students, and co-workers on therapy practices and professional advancement.
• Perform professional duties associated with patient care and therapy program development.
• Engage in the development of interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program meeting licensure requirements in the state of practice.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice is required.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
