About the position

The Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Therapy at PeaceHealth United General Medical Center is responsible for evaluating and treating patients within the scope of Occupational Therapy. This part-time position involves developing treatment plans, setting goals, and collaborating with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role may also include oversight of therapy assistants and students, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and establishes a treatment plan and goals using various data sources.
• Completes patient treatment according to the plan of care and modifies it as needed.
• Accurately documents treatment in compliance with regulatory and state licensure requirements.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure continuous patient care and acts as a liaison for problem-solving.
• Mentors and provides oversight to new caregivers and therapy aides, and may provide clinical instruction to students.
• Recommends and participates in the development of new services and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
• Occupational Therapist license in the State of Washington.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a registered Occupational Therapist.
