About the position

The Occupational Therapist PRN position at MSS involves evaluating and treating patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility in West Pointe, MS. The Occupational Therapist will manage the delivery of care, supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to physician orders.
• Implement therapeutic procedures to improve self-care skills and independence.
• Manage the delivery of occupational therapy care throughout treatment.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants in their duties.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing support and information related to occupational therapy.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current license/certification in the state of Mississippi.
• Demonstrated competency in principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in Occupational Therapy.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adequate computer skills for job duties and documentation.
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop a comprehensive plan of care.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
