About the position

The Occupational Therapist role involves utilizing professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate, assess, and treat patients with various physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities. This position requires effective communication with patients, families, and team members, as well as thorough documentation and patient education. The therapist will also supervise COTA/L, volunteers, or students in accordance with OT regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate, assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.
  • Communicates effectively with patient, family members, and team members as needed.
  • Performs appropriate and necessary documentation and patient/family education, per division protocols.
  • Supervises COTA/L, volunteer, or student per OT regulations.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred.
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and current Ohio state licensure is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
