About the position

As an Occupational Therapist at AIM (Assessment Intervention Management), you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of students through the implementation of occupational therapy services. This position involves working within a school-based practice model, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while making a direct impact on students with physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy services using the District's school-based practice model.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of services provided.
  • Supervise the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and other program personnel.
  • Develop and deliver in-service/training sessions for staff and families.
  • Contribute to the growth of aspiring occupational therapy students and affiliates.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local funding requirements through meticulous documentation.
  • Uphold all necessary State licenses for the seamless execution of duties.
  • Travel to multiple work locations using a personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Support and empower students with physical disabilities through lifting, transferring, and positioning.

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy Degree
  • Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the State of Texas
