About the position

Aviara Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join their team. The role focuses on partnering with patients to enhance their quality of life and movement potential through various therapeutic interventions. This full-time position emphasizes a commitment to personalized, evidence-based care and the development of tailored wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and meet patients' needs and goals
• Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
• Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs
• Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
• Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
• Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery
• Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
• Document patient care services
• Supervises COTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy approved by an accredited organization
• State Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist in a SNF is a plus
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification

• Work schedule from Monday to Friday with weekends as needed
