About the position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services is searching for an energetic Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our amazing team of clinicians. In this role, you will significantly improve the overall quality of life of the clients we service. Unlike traditional insurance-based homecare therapy models, you will maintain a consistent, ongoing patient caseload, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your clients. This is a consistent per diem opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to perform treatments in residential settings in Winchester and the surrounding area. You will make a valuable contribution to the lives of patients by providing occupational therapy services in the comfort and convenience of their own homes. As part of a team of professionals, you will work together to meet the needs of patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include providing occupational therapy treatments to individuals in their homes, monitoring patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, educating patients and families on how to perform exercises and activities, and maintaining patient records and documenting treatments.

Requirements

  • MA Occupational Therapy Assistant license
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in using a computer, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and effective care

Nice-to-haves

  • Home healthcare experience is recommended, but not required
