About the position

SAIC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Cloud solutions. The role focuses on ensuring the security and resilience of cloud environments while enabling development teams to efficiently deliver features. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
  • Maintain and develop automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.
  • Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all OCI deployments.
  • Continuously assess, onboard, and enable new FedRAMP cloud services using security best practices for IAM and networking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance to start and the ability to get a full secret clearance.
  • Proven background working in cloud environments with experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
  • Oracle OCI certified or equivalent years of experience working with Oracle cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle cloud concepts (Compartments, Identity Domains, Dynamic groups, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization and container management using Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with cyber tools - Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, STIG scanner.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Oracle Stacks.
  • Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow.
  • Understanding of cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Oracle PeopleSoft and PeopleTools experience preferred but not required.
