BMA is seeking an OCI Generalist to join our team and support efforts on the AMPS Legacy Program. The role involves managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) compartments and associated rights, permissions, and policies. The OCI Generalist will be responsible for capacity planning and performance management, including Application Performance Monitoring (APM). This position requires working with OCI network architectures and configurations, troubleshooting OCI-related issues, and managing OCI Identity and Access Management identity domain configurations, including Single Sign-On (examples include PKI, MFA, or SAML) while managing users and groups. Additionally, the role involves working with Oracle Database Cloud Service (DBCS) and Oracle Autonomous Database, as well as OCI services enabled on Oracle US Defense Cloud data centers. The ideal candidate will possess a general understanding and familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud technology, and cloud services. They should be adept at solving complex problems in various areas of cloud service software engineering, including high-scale distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, identity, security, observability, and user experience. The position also requires programming and scripting knowledge for automating tasks using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, as well as experience with configuring analytics settings and user settings, including enabling external users and managing storage quotas. Desired skills include experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using Oracle Kubernetes (OKE), administering Oracle-based web tiers (such as Oracle HTTP Server), middle tiers (such as Oracle WebLogic), and database tiers (such as Oracle DBCS). Familiarity with Oracle APEX, a low-code development platform, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for developing modern REST interfaces for relational data and JSON Document Store is also beneficial.
