The Perishables Representative at H-E-B is responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and organized department while delivering exceptional customer service. This part-time role involves preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products daily, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to customers in person and over the phone.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of display cases and equipment.
• Assist in technical areas as needed, including slicing, packaging, and labeling products.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and increase sales.
• Ensure proper product rotation and storage in coolers and freezers.
• Communicate product knowledge to customers and provide samples.
• Assist in the floral department and other areas as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Knowledge of computer systems (Telxon, ACR, label machine).
• Planning and organizing skills.
