As an Odor Control Lead in our process engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging the strengths of our existing odor control team to drive growth in our odor control practice. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality studies and guiding the odor control design team. This position will primarily target the Midwest and West markets of the US, but you will also engage in national and international opportunities as needed. At Black & Veatch, our Process Engineers develop technical solutions that are critical to winning work and driving design deliverables for essential infrastructure projects that benefit communities. Our team of over 200 process engineers supports various sectors, including water, wastewater, industrial, next-generation agriculture, LNG, hydrogen, fertilizer, and carbon capture. With over 55 professionals in our wastewater process engineering team, we are engaged in all phases of project development, from positioning for and winning work to master-planning, facility planning, preliminary design, detailed design, startup, commissioning, and process optimization for operational facilities. In this role, you will serve as a technology leader, recognized as an expert in vapor phase and liquid phase odor control approaches. You will lead and perform odor studies, prepare complex engineering calculations, develop and lead field sampling programs, and coordinate with dispersion modeling and sewer modeling teams. Additionally, you will manage project scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables quality while serving as a technical advisor to design teams and clients throughout project lifecycles. Your responsibilities will also include participating in business development activities and mentoring team members to build best-in-class capabilities.
