About the position
The Assistant Banking Center Manager at Security Bank of Kansas City is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and managing banking operations in the absence of the Banking Center Manager. This role involves developing business strategies, ensuring compliance with banking policies, and fostering long-term customer relationships. The position requires strong leadership, sales aptitude, and a comprehensive understanding of banking products and services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service to current and potential customers.
- Perform managerial duties in the absence of the Banking Center Manager.
- Create market-specific business development strategies to grow market share.
- Understand and apply operational policies and procedures as customer behaviors change.
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate banking solutions.
- Educate customers on emerging bank technology and services.
- Process banking transactions accurately and efficiently while safeguarding against fraud.
- Promote bank products and services to prospective customers.
- Coach, develop, and mentor employees to ensure superior customer experience.
- Plan teller scheduling and supervise teller activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of banking experience and previous management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bank products, policies, and procedures.
- Recent retail banking or new accounts experience required.
- Previous teller experience with an excellent balancing record.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows environment.
- Ability to make management decisions in the manager's absence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Jack Henry or similar software.
- Previous supervisory experience desired.
