Off-Road Haul Truck Driver

About the position

Bullitt County Stone is developing a new underground limestone mine at our Shepherdsville, KY location and is seeking an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver. The mine development team is a project-based team tasked with creating essential infrastructure, including access declines, ventilation systems, and ground support, to ensure safe and efficient limestone extraction. This project is anticipated to span a duration of 3 years. Please advise that onboarding and training may be conducted at other sites to include Crestwood, KY or Louisville, KY until the team officially launches at Bullitt County Stone in the spring of 2025.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to move shot rock from the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process.
• Perform daily pre-and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Communicate effectively applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Requirements

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
