About the position

The Off Shift - Azure Data Engineer role involves working as a hands-on Backend Software Engineer in an agile environment. The position requires proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with a focus on cloud architecture, particularly within the Azure ecosystem. The engineer will be responsible for deploying production services, managing data modeling, and ensuring effective ETL processes using Azure tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using T-SQL, Python, and C#.
• Implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Design and manage data architectures including Data Warehousing and Microservices.
• Utilize Git for source control and code management.
• Deploy production services in Azure, including Azure Functions and Azure API Management.
• Monitor and log application performance using App Insights.
• Identify, debug, and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer in an agile environment.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, Python, and C#.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks for ETL processes.
• Strong background in data modeling and lineage.
• Experience deploying services in Azure cloud environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure Web Apps, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool).
