About the position

The position involves operating and maintaining CNC equipment and special process equipment, focusing on tooling adjustments, set-up, and minor maintenance. The role includes assisting engineering with new process development and improvements, managing machine changeovers, and addressing quality issues. The individual will also perform preventative maintenance and may run production to relieve operators during breaks.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-up, tooling adjustments, and changes on CNC equipment.
• Assist engineering in new process development and process improvement activities.
• Manage machine and process equipment changeovers, including first piece approvals.
• Participate in the resolution of quality issues as they arise.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues and perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Run production to relieve machining operators for breaks.
• Conduct operational knowledge of all machine cells, including start-up and product inspection.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (HSED or GED).
• Understanding of machine tool operation and basic machine maintenance.
• Knowledge of M and G code programming.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and take corrective action to ensure quality production.
• Ability to train new employees in the machining process.
• Understanding of Process Control Plans and PIM book.
