About the position

The Off Site Marketer builds brand awareness, facilitates execution of catering orders, and follows up with our catering customers in conjunction with our Catering & Community Manager. This is accomplished through creative marketing and distributing samples to local business customers while always maintaining an unyielding focus on growing the Jimmy John's brand. The position requires a personal vehicle along with a valid license and car insurance for Motor Vehicle Report. The working hours are from 9am-3pm Monday-Friday, with special events as needed on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Uncertified Managers earn $13-$15 per hour, while Certified Managers earn $15 plus (through a JJ certified course).

Responsibilities

  • Complete a 2 week instore training course to build brand knowledge, system knowledge, and understanding to accomplish store and market goals.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships within designated delivery areas.
  • Distribute catering and sandwich samples to local businesses to promote brand awareness.
  • Identify catering goals and develop a growth strategy.
  • Maintain records of marketing efforts and business contacts for each store location.
  • Assist with store operations when needed to execute large catering orders.
  • Train employees on flawless catering execution to create consistent customer experiences.
  • Complete and submit daily marketing activity report.
  • Provide lunch support through instore sandwich making and/or assisting with delivery operations.
  • Communicate with Catering Manager to ensure 100% execution on catering orders.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 9:00am-3:00pm, occasional nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Must be able to fluently read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must have the ability to run a register and make sandwiches for marketing purposes.
  • Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 25 lbs., repetitive motions, cognitive skills, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Own a reliable vehicle with current automobile insurance.
  • Have a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing or customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of catering operations.
