About the position

The Offer & Project Quality Manager at Schneider Electric is responsible for designing and planning protocols to ensure products meet internal and external quality standards. This role involves analyzing validation test data, defining quality targets, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The manager will work closely with factories to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures, while also reporting key performance indicators to corporate and local teams. The position allows for remote work up to two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Design or plan protocols for processes to produce products meeting quality requirements.
  • Analyze validation test data to determine process effectiveness and identify root causes of production problems.
  • Define annual quality targets and roadmap for the offer in charge.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of quality improvement activities and drive follow-up with factories.
  • Work toward resolution and prevention of quality issues using 8D and Lean 6 Sigma methodologies.
  • Perform risk analysis for non-conforming products or quality issues.
  • Follow product surveillance test plan and implementation in conjunction with Global Supply Chain.
  • Regularly calculate and report key performance indicators to corporate and local teams.
  • Assess achieved performance against yearly quality objectives with Global Supply Chain Quality and Industrialization teams.
  • Challenge and improve product and process change notices for efficient implementation.
  • Evaluate and validate corrective and preventive actions implemented.
  • Initiate internal and external containment actions for defective materials or products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in quality engineering or quality management.
  • Experience managing quality processes in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proficiency in improving quality processes using methodologies like Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Blackbelt.
  • Experience performing quality audits using Lead Auditor standards.
  • Ability to gather requirements using customer surveys and feedback.
  • Experience testing manufacturing quality and field performance.
  • Skills in optimizing manufacturing and industrialization processes.
