Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking an Office Administrator to join our team in Hutto, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for handling front office reception and office administration duties, which include greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing excellent service to our clients and visitors. The Office Administrator will be the first point of contact for our organization, and as such, you will be expected to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your responsibilities will include answering telephone calls, screening and directing them appropriately, taking and relaying messages, and providing information to callers. You will also greet individuals entering the organization, direct them to the correct destination, and deal with queries from the public and customers. Maintaining knowledge of staff movements in and out of the organization is essential, as is monitoring visitor access and maintaining security awareness. In addition to these front desk duties, you will provide general administrative and clerical support, which includes receiving and sorting mail and deliveries, scheduling appointments, organizing conference and meeting room bookings, coordinating meetings, and organizing catering. You will also monitor and maintain office equipment, control inventory relevant to the reception area, and ensure that the reception area is tidy and well-maintained. Additional assignments may be given by your supervisor as needed, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma generally required
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Excellent alpha/numeric data entry skills
  • Ability to read and/or follow written and verbal instructions and implement the same
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • High ethical standards
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to meet individual deadlines, as well as work collaboratively with team to help them meet deadlines.
