About the position

The Office Administrator at Leila Day Nurseries plays a crucial role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of an early childhood school. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage complex scheduling, and excellent communication skills to serve as a central hub of information for administration, teachers, and families. The role involves direct reporting to the Director of Operations and the Executive Director, ensuring smooth operations within the school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and manage communications.
  • Organize digital and hard copy files in the office.
  • Prepare Google Docs, Excel sheets, and communications with teachers, families, and other organizations.
  • Manage substitute teacher schedules.
  • Support the Executive Director in two major fund drives, grant writing, and various other administrative tasks.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in enrollment, admissions, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support the Assistant Director in maintaining up-to-date manuals, educational materials, and relevant documents.
  • Keep inventory and order school supplies.

Requirements

  • B.A. degree.
  • Fluency in Word, Adobe, Excel, Google Docs, etc.
  • Reliable, consistent, and enthusiastic work ethic.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Kind and caring personality.
