About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Office Administrator for our fast-paced Chiropractic office located in Evanston, IL. This role is crucial as it involves constant interaction with our patients, making it essential for candidates to be health-minded, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance, billing, and Electronic Health Records (EHR), as these skills are highly recommended for the position. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks while ensuring a welcoming environment for our patients. You will be expected to handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist with billing and insurance processes. Your ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain attention to detail will be vital in ensuring smooth operations within the office. The position requires a friendly and approachable personality, as you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your genuine care for the wellbeing of others will be reflected in your interactions, contributing to a positive patient experience. The role demands flexibility, as you will be required to work evenings as needed, particularly from 1 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, with a commitment of 30+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar.
  • Assist with billing and insurance processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) and ensure all patient information is up to date.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Create a welcoming environment for patients and ensure their comfort during visits.

Requirements

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical billing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional phone manner and customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills and good with numbers/basic math.

Nice-to-haves
