About the position

The Office Administrator for the Jewish Outreach & Early Childhood Center is responsible for managing administrative tasks while also providing support in the classroom as needed. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a nurturing attitude towards children and families. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and dedicated to fostering a positive community within the center.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative tasks and office operations.
  • Provide support in the classroom as needed, including substituting for teachers when absent.
  • Communicate effectively with families and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with billing tasks.
  • Ensure a nurturing and positive environment for children and families.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 ECE Units (administrative courses is a bonus).
  • At least 2 years of experience in an office setting.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a preschool environment.
  • Live Scan Clearance, Negative TB test, and CPR/First Aid certification (the latter is a bonus).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in preschool education.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math knowledge for billing purposes.
