About the position

The Office Administrator I position at Builders FirstSource is a full-time role responsible for a variety of general administrative and office operations support activities. The primary duties include assisting with market-wide customer billing across two different ERP systems, ensuring that bi-weekly and monthly deadlines are met. The role requires performing data entry and retrieval functions, as well as managing communications through the team's shared email. The Office Administrator will prepare miscellaneous routine correspondence, office forms, and other business-related documents to support the Area Business Manager's needs. Additionally, the position may involve managing office supply inventory and replenishment services. Safety is a critical aspect of this role; the Office Administrator is expected to understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to themselves and co-workers. Attendance at periodic safety meetings is required, and the administrator may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic role that requires adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with market-wide customer billing in two different ERP systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • One (1) year of administrative or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
