About the position

The Office Administrator I at Builders FirstSource is responsible for a variety of general administrative and office operations support activities. This role is essential in ensuring smooth office functioning and providing support to staff and visitors. The position involves tasks such as greeting visitors, managing correspondence, data entry, and maintaining office supplies, all while adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as office receptionist, greeting visitors and notifying appropriate staff members.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, office forms, and other business-related documents.
  • Perform data entry and retrieval functions.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and interoffice communications.
  • Manage office supply inventory and replenishment services.
  • Arrange meetings and conferences, maintain calendars, and make travel reservations.
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury.
  • Attend periodic safety meetings and recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • One (1) year of administrative or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
