About the position

This Office Administrator position is designed for individuals who enjoy processing transactions, collecting checks, making cash deposits, and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing cash. You will be working at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, where your team will rely on you to manage a full-time schedule effectively. As an Office Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately counting daily deposits and completing and verifying the accuracy of sales reports. You will report current day, last year, and last week sale figures to the Regional VP daily. Additionally, you will verify that the safe has been counted and balanced at the beginning and end of each day. Your role will also involve preparing daily deposit logs and communicating with corporate as needed. Daily communication, both internal and external, will be essential to research and resolve discrepancies regarding cash discrepancies. You will also be responsible for change orders, processing weekly petty cash, and preparing cashier over and shortage reports. Checking emails and responding when necessary will be part of your daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately counting daily deposits
  • Responsible for completing and verifying accuracy of sales report

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of cash handling experience required for this position
  • Excellent time management and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem resolution
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be detailed, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal/external customers
