About the position

The Office Administrator position at our agriculture company in Fort Worth is a vital role that provides primary administrative support within the office. This position is designed to ensure smooth operations and typically serves as a backup to the Customer Service staff. The Office Administrator will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential for maintaining the efficiency of the office environment. This includes managing administrative duties such as coding invoices for payment, handling accounts payable, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory. The role also involves pricing products and performing similar tasks that are necessary for the location's operations. In addition to these responsibilities, the Office Administrator will be tasked with ordering supplies for the office and other areas of the facility as needed. Coordination of mail deliveries and managing incoming and outgoing shipments will also fall under this role. The Office Administrator will arrange meetings as requested, which includes making travel and hotel arrangements, drafting agendas, and preparing presentation materials. Building and maintaining good relationships with customers and dealers is crucial, as the Office Administrator will serve as a backup for the Customer Service Representative, assisting customers with their orders, providing status updates, and delivering information regarding shipments. Furthermore, the Office Administrator may assist the Plant Manager in various areas such as quality assurance, inventory management, safety protocols, and updating systems like Time Force. This position requires a proactive individual who can provide general office support as needed and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support in assigned areas, including coding invoices for payment and accounts payable.
  • Manage bank deposits and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Price products and perform similar tasks required at the location.
  • Order supplies for the office and other areas of the facility as needed.
  • Coordinate mail deliveries and manage incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Arrange meetings as requested, including travel and hotel arrangements, drafting agendas and presentation materials.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and dealers.
  • Serve as the backup for the Customer Service Representative, assisting customers with orders, status updates, and delivery information.
  • Provide general office support as needed.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in areas of quality assurance, inventory, safety, and updating systems like Time Force.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in an office setting.
  • Excellent customer service, phone, and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in an agriculture-related industry is beneficial but not required.
