About the position

The position involves coordinating daily office activities within a department or small facility, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company policies. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including assisting with payroll, customer service, and accounting functions. Additionally, the position may involve coordinating Human Resources functions such as recruitment, training, and the development of operational policies and procedures. The individual in this role will work closely with other employees to facilitate productivity and resolve any work-related issues that may arise. In this role, you will implement corporate and departmental policies and service standards in collaboration with management. Effective communication of work procedures and company policies to staff is essential. You will also coordinate the work of office and administrative employees to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met, while addressing any errors or problems that occur. Monitoring inventory levels and maintaining records related to human resources, orders, and supplies will be part of your daily tasks. You will provide input to management on staffing decisions and procedural changes, collaborating with both workers and managers to solve work-related problems. Customer service is a key aspect of this position, as you will be responsible for resolving customer complaints and answering inquiries regarding policies and procedures. Additionally, you will review records and reports related to production, payroll, and shipping to verify details and evaluate performance. Counseling employees on work-related activities and personal growth will be part of your responsibilities, as well as planning staff meetings to relay important information. You may assist in evaluating employee performance and preparing performance appraisals, as well as addressing human resources problems or grievances. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to managing office activities and supporting both employees and management in achieving operational goals.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in an office environment.
  • 1+ year experience in a coordinator or lead role.
  • Ability to lead employees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communication.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency.
