Familiarity with various payor portals is essential, as the administrator will need to understand the different types of portals and the specific payor names, with BCBS and Medicaid being the most common. In addition to technical skills, the role demands strong customer service abilities, as the Office Administrator will interact with various stakeholders to facilitate access and resolve any issues that may arise. Proficiency in using Google for work is also important, as much of the work will be conducted virtually.
