About the position

Waypoint Private Wealth Management is a boutique firm dedicated to providing multigenerational private wealth management and planning services. We cater to affluent and ultra high-net worth clients, assisting them in various aspects of financial planning, including college expenses, retirement, tax-efficient wealth transfer, income generation, risk avoidance, and overall wealth building. We are currently seeking a Client Associate (CA) to join our growing organization. This full-time position is based in our Westlake Village, CA office and offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000, depending on licensing and experience. The Client Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service. This position involves delivering both administrative and operational support to our financial advisory team. The CA will assist Financial Advisors (FAs) with the collection, creation, and distribution of investment information, as well as scheduling meetings, creating reminders, and gathering and inputting data. Additionally, the CA will be responsible for onboarding new clients, which includes collecting required documentation and client information, and maintaining regular communication with clients throughout the onboarding process. It is essential for the CA to ensure that all key client information and documentation are up-to-date. In this role, the CA will also handle incoming calls and respond to client and administrative issues via phone or written correspondence, researching answers as needed. Engaging in industry training and education programs to stay current on policies and procedures is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality while handling sensitive information. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel. We believe in fostering an environment of professional development, and while not mandatory, obtaining a Series 7 and/or 66 Securities License will be financially rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Researching answers to client inquiries as needed.
  • Engaging in industry training and education programs to maintain current status on policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
  • Good judgment in the preparation, handling, and distribution of confidential information.
  • Ability to convey messages clearly and concisely in person, by phone, or in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • A desire to positively impact the lives of clients and the practice.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in organizational skills is preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue a Series 7 and/or 66 Securities License for professional development.
