About the position

The Administrative Support Specialist at Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) plays a crucial role in managing the business demands of the organization while ensuring a professional and timely response to the needs of employees and customers. This position involves supporting various administrative processes, maintaining financial records, and assisting with accounting projects to foster an effective office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in consolidating and analyzing financial data, such as budgets, while considering the company's goals.
  • Process and pay invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.
  • Establish and complete daily, weekly, and monthly office procedures.
  • Record keeping of sales, purchases, and accounts receivables.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and staff to manage inquiries.
  • Complete office bookkeeping responsibilities, including feed orders and grain settlements.
  • Take calls from customers and direct them as needed.
  • Assist customers with counter sales, questions, complaints, and solutions.
  • Count, measure, and document inventory items, identifying discrepancies.
  • Prepare necessary documents and support drivers, reporting issues to the location manager.
  • Operate scale and complete related paperwork for scale traffic and grain recording.
  • Assist in other areas of the location as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prefer 2 years' experience in the business/accounting field.
  • Working knowledge of FCS computer systems and Microsoft Office.
