About the position

The Office Administrator position at a prestigious law firm in Washington, DC, involves managing day-to-day office operations and providing exceptional support in a fast-paced legal environment. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity, where the individual will be responsible for greeting guests, assisting with client inquiries, managing office amenities, coordinating events, and supporting various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests in-person and over the phone, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Manage office amenities, including overseeing kitchen areas, restocking supplies, and maintaining the coffee service and snack pantries.
  • Coordinate office events and catering, ensuring smooth logistics and execution.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office, manage mail and deliveries, and liaise with vendors.
  • Support administrative tasks, including scheduling, maintaining databases, and handling ad hoc projects.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for building management, office facilities maintenance, and fire drills.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of administrative/receptionist experience, preferably within AmLaw 200 law firms.
  • Experience interacting with clients in-person and over the phone, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing office amenities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and high levels of professionalism.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
