About the position

The Childcare Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and compliance of the early childhood learning center. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the administrative, regulatory, and operational aspects of the center to meet state standards for quality care and safety. The role requires professionalism in appearance and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment for families and staff while managing day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure childcare facilities adhere to all state regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the childcare center to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to childcare providers on regulatory matters and assist in resolving any compliance issues.
• Renew and update existing licenses in accordance with state regulations.
• Serve as a liaison during state licensing inspections.
• Coordinate to ensure staff members meet required certifications and background check requirements.
• Maintain all center files, ensuring they are accurate and align with childcare licensing regulations.
• Collect and document payments from families and ensure it is placed in a safe location.

Requirements

• CDA and/or Associate Degree with at least 6 months of experience.
• First Aid & CPR Certified.
• Knowledge of Texas state regulations and licensing requirements for childcare facilities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to promoting the well-being and safety of children and families.
