About the position

The Office Administrator at Gulfeagle Supply is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the branch office by managing various administrative functions. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently handle a variety of tasks. The position supports the Branch Manager and contributes to the overall success of the branch by maintaining office supplies, managing correspondence, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all administrative functions within the branch, including correspondence with Branch Support center departments.
  • Purchases and maintains all branch office supplies and materials as needed, within the Branch budget.
  • Operates and maintains all office machines and equipment.
  • Manages manual checkbook, petty cash, and incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Answers telephone, transfers calls to appropriate person, and records messages.
  • Greets customers entering the office and directs them appropriately, providing customer service as needed.
  • Performs various filing, data entry, and clerical duties as appointed by branch management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in general office practices.
  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to efficiently handle a large number of administrative duties.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to utilize various computer programs including Word, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge of office methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships as part of a team effort with employees and customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of roofing/building products is a plus.
