About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong administrative skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Process and record incoming payments accurately and promptly.
• Maintain and update accounts receivable records, ensuring all transactions are documented.
• Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with clients regarding payment status.
• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and collections.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including clerical tasks related to the finance department.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role in an office environment.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a medical or dental receptionist is a plus but not required.
