About the position

LCM Cabinets is seeking a self-starting Office Assistant/Bookkeeper to support the administrative and bookkeeping functions of a fast-growing cabinet shop. This role is essential for maintaining financial records, managing vendor payments, and providing customer service, while also handling various office duties to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: Responsible for receiving and paying all bills and statements from vendors monthly, invoicing customers after job delivery, and tracking in QuickBooks.
  • Run payroll every two weeks by sending the accountant all hours worked, along with new employee and raise forms for that pay period.
  • Handle administrative duties including employment verification calls and other HR tasks as needed.
  • Maintain organized job folders through basic office filing.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and emails, routing them to the appropriate person.
  • Assist the manager with various tasks as needed.
  • Provide customer service support.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with accounts receivable and bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).
  • Strong computer skills and ability to analyze data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Monday.com and Homebase.
